The Bianconeri Name Ex- Azzurri Head Coach the Experienced Gaffer

The Old Lady have named ex- Azzurri head coach Luciano Spalletti to lead the team for the remainder of the campaign.

Spalletti steps in for his predecessor, who was dismissed post the Lazio setback on Sunday.

The former boss came on board in March to replace Thiago Motta but exited following a seven-month stint after an eight-game winless streak.

Spalletti guided Napoli to the Serie A crown in 2022-23 prior to assuming the Italy role, which missed out on the 2022 World Cup with Mancini at the helm.

He secured their spot in Euro 2024 exiting in the last 16 stage against Switzerland.

However, Spalletti was sacked by Italy in June following a loss to Norway in World Cup qualifying, putting Italy in danger of missing a third straight World Cup.

Spalletti has also managed Inter Milan, Roma and Udinese in Serie A and lifted the Russian league trophy twice while at Zenit St Petersburg.

Juventus were temporarily led by Massimo Brambilla for their 3-1 win against Udinese on Wednesday which left them seventh in Serie A - trailing leaders Napoli by six points after nine matches.

In the Champions League, they sit 25th in the league phase, with one loss and two draws in their first three games.
